Eiliff "Bremen 1972" CD
Eiliff, living together in a house in Cologne-Rath, released two LPs and a 7" single. Elaborated works of art indeed, but too elaborated to be consumed by the masses. They are reminiscent of Soft Machine, but didn't work on that on purpose. Like the most jazz-rock bands they all performed highly professional. So Rainer Brüninghaus isn't the only one who knows what he is doing. Jazz-rock is a style of music which sounds kind of cold - too cold for some people. A fact that might be reinforced by absent vocals. On CD one can find Eiliff's gig from 4/19/1972 which took place at the underground bar Lila Eule (Lilac Owl) at Bernhardstraße. A bar which always was found in trouble with the cops and the authorities. The gig was recorded and broadcast by Radio Bremen. The master tapes were kept safe properly, and now given free for release.
